We hop over to the beautiful island of Saint Lucia for an early morning bet on Friday as the island’s national side takes on Guadeloupe and these are both sides that loves scoring and conceding goals.

I personally cannot believe the price being offered for this match.  Guadeloupe who fared well in the summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup are heavy favourites here despite these two teams joint top of League B in the Nations League.

The home side (166th) have won two out of two winning 2-0 over Saint Kitts and Nevis, who are twenty places higher in the FIFA World Rankings, and smashing minnows Sint Maarten 5-1, who are yet become a member of the world’s largest football organisation.

Saint Lucia has some names from the English Football League as defenders Terell Thomas and Janoi Donacien play for Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town respectively.  In attack, Reading’s Nahum Melvin-Lambert and Lincoln City’s Reeco Hackett-Fairchild should see some action after making their debut in June’s 3-1 defeat to Martinique.  Also up front, Dominic Poleon, who plys his trade for Ebbsfleet United in the National League is an experience striker that played 29 times for Leeds United.

Their opponents Guadeloupe, possesses a squad with a bunch of players from Ligue 2 and the lower leagues in France.  However, their star player is striker Matthias Phaeton who has scored 9 goals in 20 appearances and he features for Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia.  In the Nations League so far, they had a strong home victory over Sint Maarten 4-0 and defeated Saint Kitts and Nevis 2-1.

I’m taking Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals in a double here as the stats look too good to resist. Saint Lucia have saw BTTS and O2.5 land in four of the last five games. While Guadeloupe have saw three or more goals in all of their last five games, with four of them with both teams finding the net.
