A pair of good looking bets for this game, a match which the Dutch need a win. In all fairness to Greece, a Netherlands victory looks likely, especially since Ronald Koeman’s men previously defeated the Greeks 3-0 in September. Currently, Gus Poyet’s Greece sit three points above the Dutch after securing four wins against weaker teams in the group, over Ireland and Gibraltar twice each. However, aside from these successes, they suffered losses against France (1-0) and the aforementioned 3-0 defeat to the Oranje.
The Dutch are best priced 1.95 at Betway for the win but we only place bets over evens so sticking Over 1.5 Goals in here bumps this up to 2.50 at Betfair and Paddy Power. There has been at least two goals in the last 12 Dutch games and in 4 of the last five Greek matches.
For the second Bet Builder, the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven hosted the first fixture last month, where the Dutch overwhelmed Greece with three first-half goals, despite the Greeks creating four chances of their own. Dumfries provided two assists, and Liverpool’s Konstantinos Tsimikas struggled to contain him, earning himself a booking from referee Michael Oliver. The left-back has made at least one foul in 8 of his last 10 games for club and country.
The Greeks saw four bookings on that day, and they do have a tendency to collect cards. They defeated Ireland 2-0 on Friday night but received two yellow cards. In a 1-0 loss to France in the summer, they accumulated four yellows and a red card. Furthermore, in a 2-1 home win over the Irish a few days earlier, they received four bookings.
Good luck!
