Welcome back to the Daily Double, a pair of our most confident bets paired together to hopefully build our bank roll – likewise with all other bets posted at The International Break, the odds are always above evens.
First up, we head to Bulgaria, where Hungary visit to a behind closed doors match. Initially slated for Sofia, the hosting of the match faced a series of twists and turns. The Hungarian Football Federation confirmed the match’s location at the Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia but maintained it would occur without fans present due to security concerns. No home crowd to cheer the Bulgarians on, who are playing for pride.
Hungary have already secured qualification but still look good for a win here despite losing star man Barnabas Varga to injury. They should have enough quality to see off the Bulgarians who without a win in nine games. The Hungarians are undefeated in their last nine including away wins in Serbia and Germany and already won 3-0 against Thursday’s opponents in their previous qualifying fixture.
For the second leg, Spain travel to Cyprus on the back of four wins and three clean sheets already qualified for the Euro 2024 tournament. The Cypriots, have only scored once in the last five, all defeats conceding at least 3 or more goals and Spain stuck six past them in September. Despite already punched their ticket for next summer, I see Spain look to maintain top spot over Scotland and give Cyprus another pummelling.
