Expect more goals in the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League match between the Bahamas and Guyana late Saturday evening. Despite being 20/1 underdogs, the hosts displayed scoring ability by netting twice away to Guyana in September during a narrow 3-2 loss. This leads me to believe that we can anticipate the necessary goals for this potentially undervalued bet.

The Bahamas have consistently witnessed both teams scoring in their last five matches. Despite a winless streak in their past nine games, they’ve shown proficiency in finding the net easily. In their recent outing, they settled for a 2-2 draw against Antigua and Barbuda, following a 4-1 loss in their prior encounter. Before facing Guyana in September, the Bahamas suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat against the high-scoring Puerto Rico. Notably, in four of their last five matches, there have been at least four goals scored.

On the other hand, Guyana also boasts a track record of goals at both ends. They have secured victories in their last four matches, with both teams scoring in all four instances, along with witnessing at least four goals in each game. While I can envision Guyana securing a win while conceding at least one goal, I’ve refrained from adding them to the bet due to the uncomfortably close 3-2 scoreline in the previous fixture.

A player to watch out for is 19-year-old Omari Glasgow, who plys his trade with the Chicago Fire II in the MLS Next Pro league. He has notched 7 goals in his last six games, including a hat-trick against Antigua and Barbuda in September. He has scored in all four of Guyana’s last games.

Good luck.
