Bekhruz Karimov is just 18 years old but he’s already making a name for himself as one of the most combative young full‑backs. The PFC Surkhon Termez defender only made his international debut on March 30th in a 0‑0 draw with Venezuela and has since shown a fiery streak that’s hard to ignore. His aggression and willingness to engage physically have been constants through his first two competitive appearances, and that profile makes him a prime candidate for disciplinary action tonight, in Uzbekistan’s final game before the board the flight home against DR Congo.

In the 5‑0 defeat to Portugal, tasked with getting to grips with Cristiano Ronaldo, Karimov committed five fouls and made four tackles, while being fouled himself four times — a clear indicator of how often he’s involved in direct duels. In the opener against Colombia, he added three fouls and two tackles, plus two right‑footed shots from distance. He’s not shy about stepping forward or leaving a mark, and that blend of youthful energy and frustration often translates into rash challenges.

German official Felix Zwayer, is one of Europe’s most strict referees, averaging 4.08 yellows and over 20 fouls per match throughout his career. In the Bundesliga, he gives out nearly five bookings a game, and that leaps to six per match in the Europa League. He didn’t hold back in his tournament opener either, flashing seven cards as the USA beat Australia 2-0.

Though bookings have been unexpectedly low across the tournament so far, this fixture is primed to break the trend. It’s a must-win for DR Congo and a matter of pride for Uzbekistan. Because of this, targeting over 3.5 and over 4.5 cards feels like a smart move.

Don’t let the teams’ current records fool you; both have only received two yellows so far. However, their foul counts are high: Uzbekistan has committed 15 and 14 fouls, while DR Congo has logged 16 and 10. Furthermore, DR Congo’s style tends to drag their opponents into the book, as Colombia (2) and Portugal (3) found out. Conversely, Uzbekistan’s games against those same opponents resulted in just one card each.

Put an inexperienced, aggressive full‑back under a referee who whistles early and often, and the outcome feels inevitable. Karimov’s tendency to tackles, combined with Zwayer’s low tolerance for physical play, makes a booking highly probable. Expect three or more fouls and a yellow card to follow — a pattern that fits both the player’s inexperience and temperament along with the referee’s numbers.
