I struggled to find much value for this match, certainly nothing at the bigger prices I usually like to write about, but two selections stand out as overpriced.
First, Marcel Sabitzer looks a strong pick for a shot on target. The Austria attacking midfielder has registered at least one shot on target in 12 of his last 14 internationals, and odds of 2.55 at BetMGM and Unibet for him to do so again against Spain represent excellent value. Over that run he’s hit the target versus Argentina in the group stage and scored in seven separate games, including the recent win over Algeria.
The second angle is Austria to be caught offside three or more times at 2.27 with BetVictor. Spain’s opponents have been flagged offside three or more times in each of their last four matches, including all three group fixtures — Uruguay (5), Saudi Arabia (3), Cape Verde (3), and Peru (3) in the 3–1 victory. Austria’s own record backs it up too: they were caught offside three times against both Algeria and Jordan, though they managed to stay clean against Argentina.
Spain’s recent history makes the Bet Builder look a solid bet. They are yet to concede a goal at this tournament and allowed only two goals into their net across six qualifying matches. Austria don’t exactly arrive with cutting edge either, failing to score against Argentina, a comparison to the level of Spain of sorts, in a routine 2–0 group‑stage defeat.
The goals angle is just as strong. Under 4.5 Goals has landed in each of Spain’s last 11 fixtures, and it’s been a rare hit in Austria’s recent run — only three of their last ten matches have gone over, and all were outliers: the chaotic 3–3 with Algeria, a 5–1 friendly against Ghana, and the 10–0 qualifier versus San Marino.
And finally, Spain’s corner taking bumps the price up also looks good. They have taken five or more corners in 13 straight games, a reflection of how consistently they pin teams back and control the game – something I see happening tonight.
Best of luck.
