This is a potential banana skin for the U.S.A. as Bosnia and Herzegovina have a habit avoiding defeat. In the group stage they drew 1–1 with co‑hosts Canada, were level at 0–0 until the 74th minute before eventually losing 4–1 to Switzerland, and then beat Qatar 3–1. Coming into the tournament, they wrre undefeated in eight, although they only won two and drawn six, and that stubborn streak is built on how hard they are to break down.
Given their style, this matchup is far trickier for the United States than it looks on paper or the what the bookies prices suggest. Bosnia carry enough threat from set pieces to snatch something themselves.
Their entire defensive approach is about disrupting rhythm, slowing the tempo, and using fouls to stop opponents building any momentum. It’s intentional and it works — they committed more fouls than any team in UEFA World Cup qualifying, averaging 17.4 per game. Even away to San Marino, a match they won 6-0, they committed 20 fouls. In the group stage they produced 20 fouls against Canada and 18 against Switzerland. I am happy to ignore the 9 they conceded versus Qatar given they controlled that match for the majority, even if it wasn’t as straightforward as the score line suggests.
This is a bet I did on the Swiss and climbed tow rungs of the ladder, I think with this match being a do-or-die here; it is possible to get up to 21 here. Bosnia have hit at least 17 in six in the last ten competitive games, hit 19 in 4 and 21 in zero but hey this is the last 32, and they did hit 21 in the 1-0 home win over, yes, San Marino in qualifying and even climbed up to 25 against Romania.
Fouls in the last ten competitive games for Bosnia: 9, 18, 20, 18, 20, 9, 15, 19, 16, 20.
Unfortunately these prices are with BetVictor only and you struggle to find the market going this high at any other bookie.

Like the now world famous Mbekezeli Mbokazi… Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Sebastien Berhalter has impressed over the past few months since he joined up with the United States Men’s National Team (to give them their full name). I’ve heard he could be heading to Derby County, and no offence to The Rams, but I think that would be a waste.
He proved me right when he showed last game against Turkey why he is the bettors dream. He took a corner, got an assist, got booked, scored a goal from outside the box, made two tackles, committed three fouls and won four fouls himself. Yes, he certainly get himself about. This form may push Mauricio Pochettino into giving him another start early on Thursday morning.
While at Vancouver he’s taken a huge leap forward this season, with outrageous numbers: 18 appearances across MLS and the Champions Cup, 7 goals and 4 assists from central midfield. He’s averaging 2.80 tackles and 2.40 fouls committed per 90. For the U.S. he has kept that level, posting 2.60 tackles and 2.60 fouls per 90 across 12 friendlies, along with one goal, three assists, and three yellow cards in 13 matches.
His skill set is tailor‑made for chaos. He’s a free‑kick specialist, takes corners, arrives late at the edge of the box, and shoots constantly from distance. For the Whitecaps he’s taken 48 shots in all competitions, 12 on target — and the key detail is that 7 of those 12 came from outside the box.
You might think this Bet Builder is wild. Let me tell you this, against Turkey last week… this won! Small stakes only and please place with a bookie that will let you cash out or void if he doesn’t play as this is not certain.
I will be on this man every game until his tournament ends and if ends up at Derby County, this will be phenomenal for the betting man. And in case you think I’m lying about all this, here’s some highlights of the great man, that I shared last week when I tipped him:
Here’s some highlights of the great man.
Best of luck.
